Jennifer Boggia launches TASTE. Cafe and Catering

Windham, NY – Jennifer Boggia has moved the base for her catering service to a Windham New York storefront so she can better serve her clients in the area.  Reflecting on her move, Jennifer notes, “I chose the name TASTE. because it is direct, straight forward and encourages the customer to do just that – Taste.

TASTE. encompasses several ways to eat the food created by the chef/owner. The cafe will serve breakfast and lunch, the dinner delivery service will drop off dinner at your door and the catering service will provide everything needed for a 300 person wedding.  Jennifer prepared a surprise 40th birthday party for Nick Bove last year and she and her staff grilled on site in the midst of the Catskill Mountains. Unknown at the time, Nick would be leasing the cafe space to Jennifer for her new business. Nick enthuses, "It was a perfect day from the setting in the Catskill Mountains to the delicious creative picnic fare prepared by Jennifer."

When Jennifer moved from NYC over a decade ago, she started out as director of a catering at Sagecrest Catering, in Earlton, NY, but decided to become a personal chef allow her to become more creative in the culinary world.

“Freshness is the key to me. I tailor my services to meet clients’ dietary needs, taste and budget using the best fruits and vegetables, locally grown when possible. It is hard for me to answer what I specialize in.  I cook American, Italian, French, and Mexican and am always trying new and exciting cuisines.  My mother and sister’s come to my house once a year in the spring and we pick a cuisine to immerse ourselves in. Last year we cooked authentic Japanese. I love learning about other cultures and how they prepare the foods indigenes to their country. My signature dishes are Moroccan spiced salmon, Tuscan herb roasted whole filet mignon, marinated chicken with plums, olives and capers, garlic infused marinated grilled pork with a fig and onion chutney, grain dishes with toasted nuts and dried fruit and a large assortment of grilled vegetables.”

Aside from catering and the dinner delivery service, TASTE. Cafe will provide Windham with breakfast, lunch, ice cream and coffee. The cafe will also have prepared salads, lunches and dinners to go for customers looking for a quick gourmet meal on the go or they may choose to relax and eat at tables inside.  In the warmer months, the fresh air cafe outside will encourage customers to eat outside in the picturesque country setting.
